Freddie Mac Employees Raise $32K for Fight Against Breast CancerMore than 1,600 Freddie Mac employees took part in Denim Day, raising more than $16,000 for the fight against breast cancer. In recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, employees broke out the jeans, skirts, shirts and other denim apparel to show their support for the cause. The Freddie Mac Foundation provided a dollar-for-dollar match on all contributions, bringing the grand total going to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation to more than $32,000. Since 1996, companies nationwide have raised more than $44 million for Lee National Denim Day. The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation – the nation's leading private funder of research dedicated solely to breast cancer – receives 100 percent of all donations to fund research, education, screening and treatment programs.
