Freddie Mac Recognized for Commitment to Homeownership and Diversity

Freddie Mac has recently been honored by several organizations – including the National Association of Counties, Latina Style Magazine and the ENDependence Center of Northern Virginia – for its commitment to increasing homeownership, helping the community and supporting diversity issues.

  • During the National Association of Counties' (NACo) Annual Legislative Conference, Freddie Mac received the association's Award for Corporate Excellence. The award was presented to Freddie in tribute to the corporation's work with NACo to make homeownership more affordable. 
  • For the fourth consecutive year, Freddie Mac was honored by Latina Style Magazine at the recent Latina Style 50 Awards Ceremony, receiving an Honorable Mention Award for being one of the best places to work for Latinas. Launched in 1998 as a special report recognizing corporate America's diversity initiatives, Latina Style's annual survey of nearly 600 companies is the country's best-established effort to identify the companies that provide the best career opportunities for Latinas.
  • Freddie Mac received the ENDependence Center of Northern Virginia (ECNV) 2005 Business Community Partner Award for the company's commitment to equal access for individuals with disabilities.  ECNV is a center for independent living for people with disabilities.
