Celebrating Values at the 20th Annual Black Family Reunion

Freddie Mac recently sponsored the 20th Annual Black Family Reunion. 2005 marks the company's 5th year partnering with the National Council of Negro Women to make possible this two-day festival that attracts more than 500,000 people to celebrate the strengths and values of the African American family.

This year, Freddie Mac also helped kick-off Black Family Reunion weekend by sponsoring the Family First Awards Dinner, an event that celebrates the importance of family by honoring African American families who have achieved in entertainment and in the community. The 2005 awards dinner honored one of the first families of contemporary gospel – The Winans.

In addition, the "Making Home Possible" pavilion, hosted by Freddie Mac, featured a variety of activities and fun for the whole family. Music, face painting, and other children's activities entertained kids while parents learned about growing their careers, establishing and maintaining credit, and becoming homeowners.
