Corporate Giving

Giving back, helping others, and leading the way are part of our company's culture and our success.

Freddie Mac's Corporate Giving program supports the company's mission of making the dream of decent, accessible housing a reality – especially for minority and underserved families. Through donations, Corporate Giving supports housing, partnerships, and civic programs to strengthen the communities where we live and work.

During a one-week effort underwritten by Freddie Mac to build 51 homes for victims of Hurricane Katrina, Freddie Mac COO Eugene McQuade joins the Barbour family, Freddie Mac EVP Ralph Boyd (front row, L to R), and volunteers in front of the frame of the Barbours' new home.

For example, our Corporate Giving program has helped more families get access to our award-winning CreditSmart®, CreditSmart Español and CreditSmart Asian initiatives, our collaborative public education and community-based outreach campaigns that spread the word to consumers about financial literacy and its relationship to homeownership.

A highlight of our giving is Freddie Mac's Hoops for the Homeless, our signature charitable event that we underwrite and organize. This annual three-on-three basketball tournament – headlined by basketball legend Earvin “Magic” Johnson – matches local teams with celebrities to raise money and awareness about homelessness in the Washington, DC region.

In addition, our army of employee volunteers extends the value of our funding and brings benefits to the community.
